Day 1 Portugal / Colombo

Departure by flight to Colombo, by the chosen route. Night on board.

Day 2 Colombo / Galle / Hikkaduwa

Arrival in Colombo and departure by road to Galle. Arrival and visit of the city, declared a World Heritage Site in 1988. The walk along the city wall from the Utrech Bastion to the Stone Flag Bastion gives you a good idea of the city with a good view of the old port. Visit to the old Portuguese and Dutch fortress of Galle. Lunch in a restaurant. Continue to Hikkaduwa, located by the beach. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 Hikkaduwa / Welligama / P. N. Yala

Full board. Departure by road to Yala National Park. On the way, you will see the famous "wader fishermen" of Welligama, one of Sri Lanka's most famous sights (subject to availability). Lunch in a restaurant. Jeep safari in Yala National Park, with a variety of ecosystems, including tropical forests and marine wetlands. The park is home to 215 different species of birds and 44 different types of mammals. It is also one of the parks with the highest density of leopards in the world, although they are not easy to spot. Dinner at the hotel

Day 4 P. N. Yala / Buduruwagala / Ella

Full board. We leave behind the coastal landscape with its beautiful beaches and begin the ascent into the mountainous region, visiting the Buduruwagala Temple on the way, an ancient Buddhist temple made up of three large statues carved from the rock. three large statues carved into the rock, a place that combines history, spirituality and natural beauty. We continue to Ella, visiting the Ravana Waterfalls on the way, one of the highest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Later, we'll take a tuk-tuk ride to the famous Nine Arches Bridge, which is almost 100 years old and was built with blocks of stone and cement without any iron or concrete reinforcements. In the evening, we'll return to Ella to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the streets, which take on a special and magical atmosphere. Optional activities possible: zip-lining, Pico do Adãozinho... (consult). Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 Ella / Tea Train / Nuwara Eliya / Peradeniya / Kandy

Full board. Departure by local train from Damodara station, an engineering marvel from the early 20th century. During the journey, we will pass over the New Arches Bridge and cross a beautiful mountain landscape dotted with numerous tea plantations. Arrive at Nanu Oya station and continue by road to Nuwara Eliya, a mountain town known as "Little England". A short stroll through the main streets of the town. Visit to a tea factory where we will be shown how the famous Ceylon tea is made. Later, a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, full of a wide variety of trees, plants and flowers, mainly orchids, medicinal plants and palms. Lunch in a restaurant. Continue by road to Kandy, a city of great beauty declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. On arrival, visit the Dalada Maligawa, an architectural complex where the Temple of the Tooth Buddha is located. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6 Kandy / Matale / Dambulla / Habarana

Full board. Departure by road to the Matale Spice Garden, where we will be offered a 10-minute Ayurvedic massage. Continue your journey to Dambulla Temple, a complex of caves that houses an important collection of Buddha images representing the different stages of his life. Lunch in a restaurant. Next, we will explore the countryside of Sevanagama, where we will enjoy a tour of its natural beauty, culture and local traditions. Take a boat trip on a nearby lake to admire the magnificent scenery. Later, you'll board a tractor for a rustic tour of the village's agricultural fields and return by tuk-tuk to complete the experience. Continue by road to Habarana. In the evening, you will attend a cultural show to enjoy traditional dances, music and theater. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 Habarana (Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa)

Full board. Visit to the rock fortress of Sigiriya, an ancient palace complex where the famous frescoes of the Golden Maidens, painted on the rock, can be found. The ruins of the palace are situated on top of an impressive red stone rock, 180 m above the jungle that rises at its foot, in the middle of the complex. In the middle is the Wall of Mirrors, where the famous paintings of the Apsara maidens can be found. There is also the Lion Gate, which gives access to the upper part. Continue to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka. We will visit the famous statues of the Buddhas of Gal Vihara, three large statues carved out of rock. The first and second statues represent a seated Buddha in a meditation position, while the third and largest statue, 14 meters long, represents the reclining figure. Lunch in a restaurant. Return to Habarana. Optionally, guests can go on safari in Minneriya N.P. (on request). Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 Habarana / Colombo

Breakfast. Departure by road for Colombo. In the afternoon, a panoramic tour of the city. You'll see the Fort, the Petah residential area, the Cinnamon Gardens, Galle Face Park and Viharamahadevi Park

Day 9 Colombo / Male (Maldives)

Early morning departure by flight to Malé. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Days 10 to 12 Maldives Islands*

Full board. Free days to enjoy the paradisiacal beaches with turquoise waters and/or practise water sports on one of the most spectacular seabeds in the world. Dinner at the hotel. * Possibility of returning to Portugal (10 days). Please contact us.

Day 13 Male / Portugal

Breakfast. Departure by return flight to Portugal. Night on board.
