In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven or "Tian Tan", one of the largest sacred precincts in China. Built during the reign of the Ming dynasty, it was the place where the emperor made sacrifices to thank heaven for the fruits obtained and pray for future harvests. Day 4 Beijing (Great Wall)

Although Chinese emperors had built barriers to defend themselves against "barbarians" since ancient times, it was the emperors of the Ming dynasty, in the 15th and 16th centuries, who erected a defensive barrier to the north of their empire in brick and stone, with a series of towers connected by ramparts to reach a length of at least 7,000 kilometers, which is what we can still see today. Lunch. Return to the hotel, dinner of lacquered duck in a restaurant.
ia 5 Beijing / Xian
Half board. In the morning, visit the Summer Palace and its imperial gardens. Built in 1750, largely destroyed during the war of 1860 and rebuilt on its foundations in 1886, the palace is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape art. The complex of pavilions, palaces, chambers, temples and bridges is perfectly adapted to the natural landscape of hills and lakes. One of its attractions is Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998. Afterwards, you will stop at a Chinese pearl factory. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure by high-speed train to Xian (approx. 5 hours), the ancient capital of China for over 1000 years, which marked the eastern end of the Silk Road and was home to the royal houses of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties.
Day 6 Xian
Half board. Visit to the great jewel of Xian, the Museum of Earthenware Warriors and Knights. This is the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty who chose to be buried with this formidable army of clay figures. When the tomb was discovered, a tent was built over it to allow people to contemplate this formidable spectacle. The figures in this funeral procession are simply astonishing. There are three graves containing the warriors, separated by military rank. The main grave, more than 200 meters long, contains more than 7,500 foot soldiers, all life-size and with their own physical characteristics. The second pit contains around 1,000 statues and the last pit, believed to represent the general staff and generals, contains 69 figures, including horses. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda (no climbing). This is an enormous Buddhist tower 64 meters high, one of the best examples of Buddhist architecture of the period in China. On the way back to the hotel, a walk through the Muslim quarter and a brief stop at the old city wall.
