Day 1 Portugal / Amman

Flight to Amman via the chosen route. Arrival and accommodation.

Day 2 Amman / Ajlun / Jerash / Amman

Half board. Depart for a visit to Ajlun Castle, a fortress built in 1185 and later rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after its destruction by the Mongols. It is a castle from the Crusader era, located on the top of the mountain and from which you can enjoy a beautiful view. Continue to visit Jerash, one of the cities of the Decapolis. Jerash is located north of Amman, about 45 km away and an hour by road. During the tour, visit the Arc de Triomphe, the oval square, the cardo, the colonnade, the temple of Aphrodite and finally the Roman theater, with its wonderful acoustics. The preservation of the ruins of Jerash is still amazing today, and you can get a very accurate idea of what the cities were like at the time. At the end of the visit, return to Amman. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 Amman / Madaba / Mount Nebo / Um Al Rasas / Petra

Half board. Departure for a panoramic tour of the city of Amman. Continue to Madaba to visit the Orthodox Church of St. George, where the first mosaic map of Palestine is located. Continue to Mount Nebo to admire the panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from the mountain. This place is important because it was the last place visited by Moses and where the prophet saw the promised land, which he would never reach. We continue to Petra. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 Petra / Little Petra / Aqaba

Half board. Departure for the nearby town of Al Beida, also known as Little Petra. Visit to this caravanserai. During the visit, you will see the most important and representative monuments carved into the rock by the Nabataeans. You'll start with The Treasury, the famous and internationally renowned monument made into a movie by Indiana Jones, the Colored Tombs, the Royal Tombs and the Monastery. Continue to Aqaba. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 Aqaba / Wadi Rum

Full board. Departure and free time to enjoy the city of Aqaba. Morning to relax on one of Aqaba's beaches, using the facilities, pool or sea, showers and towels, at one of the hotels in the area. Lunch. Early afternoon departure for Wadi Rum, one of the most important nature reserves in the Middle East. We arrive at the Lawrence of Arabia desert: the visit lasts two hours and takes place in 4x4 vehicles driven by Bedouins (6 people per car). It consists of a small incursion into the lunar landscape of this desert, observing the wonders that nature has done with the erosion of the rocks and sand. At the end of the visit, transfer to the camp. Dinner at the camp.

Day 6 Wadi Rum / Bethany / Dead Sea

Half board. Departure towards the River Jordan. Visit one of the most mystical and spiritual places in Jordan. You will visit Bethany, the place where Jesus was baptized by Saint John the Evangelist. The Jordanian enclave of Bethany was opened to visitors in 2000, and Pope John Paul II took part in its inauguration as a sign of its recognition by the Vatican. Site of the Baptism of Jesus "Bethany beyond the Jordan" (Al-Maghtas) The archaeological site located on the eastern bank of the Jordan River, about 9 km north of the Dead Sea, is of immense importance to Christianity, as it is recognized as the place where Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist. Transfer to the Dead Sea. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 Dead Sea

Half board. Free time. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 Dead Sea / Amman/ Portugal

Transfer to Amman and departure flight back to Portugal. Arrival.
