Day 1 Portugal / San José
Departure by flight to San José. Arrival, transfer and accommodation.
Day 2 San José / P. N. Tortuguero
Early departure for Tortuguero National Park, one of Costa Rica's most biologically diverse areas and the most important green turtle nesting region (July to October) in the Western Caribbean. Typical breakfast en route. We continue on our way to the pier, from where we will take a 2-hour boat ride to our lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon, a visit to the village of Tortuguero. Dinner.
Day 3 P. N. Tortuguero
Full board. After breakfast, visit to the hotel's trails. Lunch. In the afternoon, we explore by boat the incredible system of natural canals that this national park has to offer. Dinner.
Day 4 P. N. Tortuguero / P. N. Arenal Volcano
Breakfast. We recommend getting up early to enjoy nature. Departure for Guápiles, where you will have lunch. Continue to the Arenal Volcano area.
Day 5 P.N. Arenal Volcano
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the Arenal volcano, traditionally the most active volcano in Costa Rica (currently with practically no activity). The pleasant atmosphere of the area and the hot springs are a must.
Day 6 Arenal Volcano / Rincon de la Vieja National Park
Breakfast. Transfer to Rincón de la Vieja. Enjoy a beautiful drive to the warm climate of the tropical dry forest, which has extensive pampas, beautiful cattle ranches, the Rincón de la Vieja volcano and exotic mud lagoons.
Day 7 P. N. Rincón de la Vieja
Breakfast. Free day in which we recommend exploring the Rincón de la Vieja National Park, surrounded by two volcanoes and divided into two sections: Las Pailas and Santa María. You can also enjoy many adventure activities, such as canyon abseiling, canopy tours, horseback riding or relaxing in the volcanic mud pools, ending the day with a cup of coffee and a spectacular sunset
Day 8 P. N. Rincón de la Vieja / Beaches of Guanacaste
Breakfast. In the morning, transfer by land to your beach destination in Guanacaste. Arrival and accommodation on an all-inclusive basis.
Days 9 and 10 Guanacaste beaches
All inclusive. Free days to enjoy the possibilities offered by this privileged environment.
Day 11 Guanacaste beaches / San José / Portugal
Breakfast. At the appropriate time, departure by road to San José and flight back to Portugal. Night on board (some flights require a night in San José and departure the following day).
Day 12 Portugal
Arrival.
Our services
Regular airline flight, economy class (reservations in special classes). Bed and breakfast. 3 lunches and 2 dinners (drinks not included). All inclusive in Guanacaste. Exclusive Catai transfers in San José. Regular visits and excursions. Program with rental car. Delivery of the SUV Compact 4x2 automatic or similar on day 4 of the program in Guápiles, return on day 11 at the airport rental office. Compulsory insurance not included. Travel insurance. Other options: Program in a regular tourist minibus. Transportation by regular tourist minibus between cities. The price from is based on Iberia, Q class, for travel in May and September, car rental option in C category hotels. Air taxes included. IB: 385€. Advance sale. For bookings more than 30 days in advance, 7% discount not applicable on taxes and fuel. Not combinable with other offers. Due to the distance from Guanacaste to San José (6/7 hrs approx.) we recommend that you book an additional night in San José. Please check with us.
