Day 4 Christchurch / Dunedin (362 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Spectacular views of Caroline Bay, the curious spherical rocks at Moeraki Beach, and the Otago Peninsula where albatrosses nest.
Day 5 Dunedin / Queenstown (285 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: the Otago region, with its fruit fields and vineyards, and the spectacular arrival in Queenstown via the Kawarau River Gorge.
Day 6 Queenstown
Accommodation. We'll have a variety of activities at our disposal; bungee jumping, tours of Lake Wakatipu, speedboating down the Shotover River and panoramic flights over the Remarkables Mountains. We can also visit the fjords of Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound, in the Fjords National Park.
Day 7 Queenstown / Franz Josef (365 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Lake Wanaka, the mountain port of Haast, access to the west coast, with its unparalleled landscape and natural wonders.
Day 8 Franz Josef / Hokitika (135 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Panoramic flight with landing on the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers, and hiking on the ice.
Day 9 Hokitika / Nelson (340 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Paparoa National Park, Pancake Rocks, Cape Foulwind, and Nelson Lakes National Park.
Day 10 Nelson
Accommodation. We suggest: walking along the beaches of Totaranui, Medlands, Bark Bay, Torrent Bay, and Anchorage in the Abel Tasman National Park or kayaking along its coasts.
Day 11 Nelson / Picton / Wellington (130 km)
Accommodation. Cross Cook Strait by interinslander ferry. Arrival in Wellington.
Day 12 Wellington / Napier (320 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Te Papa Museum, National Museum of New Zealand History, Hawkes Bay and its vineyards, Cape Kidnappers, and the Art Deco architecture of Napier.
Day 13 Napier / Rotorua (230 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Tongariro National Park, Lake Taupo, the largest lake in the country and the Huka Waterfalls.

Accommodation. Home of the Maori culture. We suggest: Te Puia, Waimangu and Wai-o-tapu hot springs and Mount Tarawera, located in the surrounding area.
Day 15 Rotorua / Coromandel (250 km)
Accommodation. We suggest: Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, land of the kiwi, Mt. Maunganui and the beautiful port of Tairua on the Pacific coast.

Important to know
Price based on Qatar Airways, class Q / T, dynamic fares, for travel from May 1st to June 1st in category B. Air taxes included. QR: 660€. International Driving License required and a credit card (not debit) is essential to rent the vehicle. Check hotels with departures from May. Additional charges payable at destination: Deductible 3,500 NZD + Gst, Budget will block this amount on the credit card when picking up the vehicle and it will be refunded on return if the vehicle is in perfect condition. Vehicle collection at airports and/or ports, 50 NZD + Gst (approx.). Security deposit of 100 NZD + Gst, which will be returned at the end of the rental if the vehicle is returned with a full deposit. Insurance against windshield breakage. Optional Insurance (All Inclusive Rates) Supplement from: 515€ / per car. Reduce the excess to 00.00 NZD.
