Day 1 Portugal / Palermo

Departure by flight to Palermo. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 2 Palermo / Monreale / Palermo

Half board. Departure for Monreale and a visit to the Benedictine Cloister and the Cathedral. Later return to Palermo for a short panoramic bus tour. Lunch. In the afternoon, stroll through the historic center of the Sicilian capital to visit its main monuments such as the Palatine Chapel, Palermo Cathedral, the famous Piazza Pretoria, the Quattro Canti or Piazza Vigliena. You will pass in front of the Norman Church of Martorana and enter the Church of Santa Caterina.

Day 3 Palermo / Erice / Trapani / Agrigento

Full board. Departure for Erice, a medieval town situated 750 meters above sea level. Take the opportunity to taste Erice's famous almond-based sweets. Continue to the western part of Sicily for a panoramic visit of Trapani with its salt pans. Visit the sea salt production area surrounded by the mills that produce the famous Trapani salt. Lunch. Departure for Agrigento, "the most beautiful city of mortals", where you can still admire ten Doric temples that rise up in the valley. Dinner.

Day 4 Agrigento / Piazza Armerina / Ragusa- -Siracusa

Full board. Departure to visit the "Valle dei Templi". Continue towards Piazza Armerina. Lunch. Visit to the splendid Roman Villa of Casale, a luxurious residence located in the heart of Sicily, an important example of the Roman era and where you can admire the beautiful mosaics representing the customs and habits of the time. Continue towards Ragusa. Panoramic tour of Ragusa Ibla, the historic center of the city. Dinner.

Day 5 Ragusa-Siracusa / Noto / Syracuse / Catania

Half board. Departure for Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque, where you can admire the Cathedral, completely renovated after several years of restoration, and stroll through its streets full of architectural treasures. Continue to Syracuse, the largest city of antiquity, founded in 734-733 BC, and called Syraka. Weather permitting, you will take a mini-cruise to admire the beauties of the historic center of Syracuse on board a boat. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit Syracuse, which stretches out into the sea, next to the island of Ortigia, which is connected to the mainland by a bridge and offers visitors the remains of its glorious past: the Temple of Minerva, transformed into a Christian Cathedral, the legendary Fontana di Arethusa, the Temple of Apollo, the Greek Theatre and the Roman Amphitheatre located near the Latomie, the Orecchio di Dionisio. Continue towards Catania.

Day 6 Catania / Etna / Taormina / Catania

Half board. Weather permitting, departure for Mount Etna: the highest and still active volcano in Europe. The bus will arrive at the Sapienza Refuge at 1,800 meters above sea level. Visit the extinct craters, the so-called "Crateri Silvestri". Lunch in a rural house at the foot of Etna where, as well as enjoying a typical and genuine meal, you can taste Etna's own wine. Continue to Taormina, perched atop the picturesque rock of Monte Tauro. Free time for shopping, discovering the city's romantic alleys or visiting the famous Greek Theater, where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of Etna and the Ionian Sea. Return to Catania for a panoramic walking tour. This city, the most important on the eastern coast, is mainly characterized by its volcanic stone buildings.

Day 7 Catania / Messina / Cefalù / Palermo

Half board. Departure for Messina for a panoramic tour of the city which includes views over the Strait that separates Sicily from the mainland. Visit to the city's cathedral with its famous bell tower. Continue to Cefalù for lunch. Cefalù is an evocative village by the sea that presents visitors with a wonderful artistic display of lights and colors. Don't forget to visit the wonderful "Cattedrale Normanna" whose construction dates back to 1131 and the "Lavatoio Medievale". Free time to stroll through the narrow streets lined with jewelry stores and elegant stores that retain all their medieval allure. Continue towards Palermo.

Day 8 Palermo / Portugal

Breakfast. Depending on the return flight, free time for visits or last-minute shopping. Transfer to the airport. Departure on flight back to Portugal. Arrival.
