REGULAR CIRCUIT
Day 1 Portugal / Havana
Departure by flight to Havana. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 Havana
Half board. Departure for Old Havana. Visit to the Rum Museum, where you can learn first-hand about the rum-making process and the origins of Cuba's most popular distillate. Due to its quality and tradition, Cuban rum is one of the most popular in the world. Continue with a walking tour to visit the Cathedral Square, the Plaza de Armas, the Plaza San Francis-co de Asis, stroll along the famous Obispo Street with a stop at the Floridita Bar and taste the tasty Daiquiri, the famous Cuban cocktail popularized by Ernest Hemingway. Lunch at a local restaurant, where you will enjoy a typical Cuban dish with a brief explanation from the chef and a tasting of the famous Cuban Mojito. Continue with a panoramic tour of Modern Havana in classic cars: 5th Avenue, Havana's Malecon, Revolution Square and a visit to the Hotel Nacional, a jewel of the Cuban hotel industry. Continue to the Callejón de Hammel to learn about religious syncretism in Cuba and the influence of African culture on its cultural identity. Return to the hotel.
Day 3 Havana / Las Terrazas / Viñales
Full board. Departure for Las Terrazas, an ecological project that offers a rural experience of sustainable development, located within the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. We will enjoy the Community, Nature and History excursion. Lunch. Visit to the French coffee plantations and free time for a dip in the San Juan River. Continue to Viñales. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4 Viñales / Havana
Half board. Start the day with a walk through the Viñales Valley, declared a UNESCO Protected Cultural Landscape. Visit the veguero's house, where you will learn about tobacco cultivation. Continue to the Cueva del Indio, to enjoy a boat trip on one of the rivers that run through its interior. Visit the Prehistoric Mural, one of the most important open-air frescoes in the world, located in the mogote of Pita, one of the largest open-air paintings in the world. Lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious Creole meal with a delicious Cuban dessert and the famous Cuba Libre cocktail. Visit to the Mirador de los Jazmines to admire a spectacular view of the Viñales Valley. Return to Havana.
Day 5 Havana / Santa Clara / Trinidad
Half board. Departure for Santa Clara. Visit to Che's Mausoleum and the armored train. Lunch. Onward journey to Trinidad. Lodging.
Day 6 Trinidad
Half board. Tour of Trinidad with visits to the Plaza Mayor, Casa Santander and the Palacio Cantero Museum. You can also visit the Canchánchara bar to try the famous Cuban cocktail of the same name. The Canchánchara is considered a symbol of Trinidad, whose habit of drinking this drink dates back several centuries and, although the passage of time has changed the way it is drunk, it remains a favorite of many. Departure for the Valle de los Ingenios, also known as the Valle de San Luis, one of the largest sugar-producing regions during the 17th and 19th centuries due to its natural conditions and fertile land, close to ports available for the transportation of tobacco, cattle and ultimately the sugar business. Archaeological sites and haciendas from the time are still preserved, such as Manaca Iznaga with its intact bell tower, from where you can enjoy unparalleled views of the valley. Lunch. Free afternoon. Lodging.
Days 7 Trinidad
Breakfast. Days to enjoy this wonderful town, close to the beaches of Ancón and María Aguilar, with the Sierra del Escambray in the background and just a few minutes from the Topes de Collantes National Park, 800 meters above sea level. It has a protected natural landscape of high scientific value for botany and ecology, home to numerous endemic species of flora and fauna, as well as pine, bamboo and eucalyptus forests. Enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea and the city. You can visit the Casa del Café and the Casa de la Gallega, through tropical forests and coffee plantations; take a walk along the "Centinelas del Río Melodioso" ecological trail and bathe in the Poza del Venado and the beautiful "El Rocío" waterfall. Accommodation.
Day 8 Trinidad / Havana
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to Havana airport. Accommodation.
Day 9 Havana / Portugal
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to Havana airport. Departure on flight back to Portugal. Night on board.
